dilnet’s in the hallway!

I used to “skwat” outside the Engg libe since that was the only place i could get wifi access. why not just get inside the lib? i dunno, there’s nothing like indian sitting on the floor while surfing the net.. it’s the total experience of being “mobile” hehe now they’ve set up a new accesspoint somewhere and the corridors of the CS dept now has wifi waves. so now i’m blogging while waiting for class,err, exams hehe this should have come earlier.. there’ve been so many idle moments spent on this corridor playing solitaire on my computer while waiting for class.. wait a minute, i just remembered, i never went to class hehehe anyway, this is still a cool thing. I love wifi.

hectic

i picked a perfect day to sleep in.. classes got cancelled so instead i decided to go to work.. mrt is stressful..really.. and being in shoes tops it off with shit talaga. i’m not used to wearing shoes.. all my college life i’ve always worn tsinelas. and commuting in shoes is hell i tell you.

i’m beginning to really like my job.. although it’s not a technical one, it’s teaching me lots of other things and developing myself in other areas. I know that if i do this right, i’ll definitel be making use of some stagnant brain cells. of course my heart is still in development..this is just a break from stuff.. i will go back after a while.

it’s cs week at up diliman.. there was an exhibit of the 176 projects and some of them were really cool.. 176 is a topic on graphics using directx, open gl etc.. naiinggit ako.. although from the stress reports from all the people taking the subject, i’m also glad i’m not taking it. :p

today is the first day of the rest of my life…

learned a couple of things today..

some were new stuff, some were just reminders.. one particular reminder that i like, “you got to fake it to make it” it applies to a lot of things..

for some reason my mind is blank.. i’m taking on something new and i guess part of me isn’t sure whether i made the right decision.. but for some weird reason, i’m loving that i’m getting into something i’m unsure of.. risking. risking so much.. i got a lot to think about tonight.. hmmm..

pissed.

okay, i’m pissed. i just hate it when people start something they can’t finish, then start another thing, and then don’t follow through! it just becomes such a hassle to everyone else. i okay, i don’t have anything against their intentions, express their view and all that crap if they want but hell if they’re gonna do something, they better make sure they succeed, else, don’t attempt anything at all. it’s costing money, causing trouble and not to mention embarassment. brains are here for a reason..

what a great time to be getting sick.. *SOB* we’re going to be the first presentors on monday.. argh…

i’m taking on a non-technical job.. i know a couple of people will not be very happy with my decision (for one reason or another) but i’ve decided that i needed to think about what i really want to do. of course i still enjoy development, but i don’t want to end up like some of my friends who’ve grown tired of it (although i don’t think i will) but while i haven’t formally started building my career, i want to explore other stuff and see what’s out there first.. although after a year, i think i’ll be making my decision. as for now, i’m giving myself a break. i start work in march, part time, and go in full time by april. All new ball park for me, but i hope i do good. i really want to develop other aspects of myself. i have a feeling i’m gonna become one of those “jack of all trades master of none” types but maybe just for a year.. like i said, i just want to find out what else is out there and what else i can do.

Pause/Break

My dad’s here for a conference and i’m now spending the night here at his hotel.. this should be a nice alternative working environment. :p i haven’t been able to go online much lately, oyster’s service adapter got busted so i had to wait till my replacement arrived. Good thing i was able to get it this morning, i’ve been charging oyster on slightly different voltaged adapters.. which i heard was bad :p oh well.. my oyster still seems fine.. now he’s got a brand new adapter charging him up hehe anyway.. it’s off to work for me.. Got to have a lot of things done before cs week next week… grrr..
