Can you think of any other word that could describe my stress???
and others
August 13, 2005
Flashin like lightning, I can’t believe it
My eyes won’t fail me coz I’m not loaded
Time rolled swiftly as I keep rock and rollin
I get to open my eyes on a bright modern girl
Manila girl, manila girl
Manila girl, manila girl
No wall’s gonna block you no road is gonna stop you
Your beat is movin’ steady, I dare you follow me
I followed all rainbows it took me all directions
I found me no gold but those pearls don’t go
Wind keeps em twitchin, engines keep em rollin’
Sideways front ways, what’s your name anyway
As u can see, it doesn’t make sense… either we transcribed wrong or the song really just doesn’t make sense. :p anyway… it was a cool experience.. I felt less scared on stage this time.. still there was a tremble in my voice..
Anyway, that’s what I did last night.. this morning I woke up early and at lunch time I went to Mattie’s to have lunch with my officemates. It’s a small eating place near our office at Matalino st. UP village. I got to eat 4 and a half rice and sinigang for free!
the owner challenged me that if I could eat 5 rice, he’d give me a free meal.. and he was true to his word! But seriously, those living near the area should really check it out.. it’s unlimited rice, free iced tea (and occasionally juice or gulaman) and soup! All this for 40 pesos! Now that’s amazing.. we’ve been eatin there ever since one of our office mates mentioned it.. anyway.. I’m a bit sleepy so…zzzzz…

Aboard Japan Airlines
July 28, 2005
On the plane right now, Japan Airlines… Yesterday was quite a hectic day. We had a press conference at the Bahay ng Alumni yesterday and after that we had to prepare for our “photo shoot” for our graduation pictures. I borrowed 2 katanas for my creative shot. Didn’t turn out like I wanted it to but I guess it was alright. I also had to rush in choosing which one to put In print cause it was already 630 when we were done shooting. After that I had to go home to my aunt’s house in makati to get money for today. I got home at about 10pm and I was so tired. Took a nap and woke up early this morning at about 430 and started packing my stuff (yes I just packed this morning:p) I waited a while and then went off to U.P. where a van was to pick us up. When I got there, Sir TJ, rhea, krissy and jeric were already there. I thought we were meeting at 630. turns out we were supposed to be there at 5. we waited a bit for tweety and stan to arrive. I think we left for the airport at about a quarter to 7. We met kaye at the airport. This is my first trip outside of the country and I’m excited. It’s a place where people speak a different language and I’ll finally know how it feels like to find people around me speaking a language that I can’t understand. Although I took up Japanese classes two years ago, I kinda forgot most of the things that I learned! When we get to Narita, we’ll be traveling to Yokohama, how, I’m not sure yet. This is going to be a great experience.
on the way to the hotel..
July 28, 2005
It’s 17:08 Japan time. We’re on the bus, no the “Friendly Airport Limousine” to Yokohama. Lot’s of interesting things to see on the way. It’s weird though, it’s like I’m seeing the mirror image of things… there’s one thing i can say though, most of the drivers here definitely have discipline.
Tick Tock Tick Tock
July 19, 2005
As the date of the contest approaches, I get a bit more and more tense. Our project is slowly taking form but it still needs quite a lot of work. I know it’s ambitious but I really hope that we get a place in the world’s.
What about my day… Well, I woke up this morning after a weekend of no sleeping. That was around 9.30 and I had a class at 10. I was debating with myself whether or not to skip class then I remembered my “promise” to start being a responsible student so I dragged myself out of bed. Of course by the time I got ready and got to U.P. I was already 30 minutes late. On the way to the eng’g building, I happened by a classmate who told me we didn’t have class. So off I went to work and when I rode the jeep, rain poured like waterfalls. But by the time I got to Philcoa, it died down. So I waited for a Kalayaan jeep. Finally, I spotted one and went for the front seat, but the man in front was kind of hesitant on moving over so I went to the back instead. Somewhere along Q.C. circle a car sped by and sent water splashing over to the guy on the front seat.
I guess you could say this wasn’t NOT my day J
SIGH
July 16, 2005
My nth blog for the day.. I’m having a blast at school, thesising… but if you ask me right now to explain our project in 10 minutes, I still won’t be able to do it. IMAGINE?! It’s good to be working with people with great senses of humor. At least you can really count on each other to give each other a boost. I’m happy to be on the Vulcan team and happy to have people like the DCSF faculty on our side. They’re great people, and they’re very supportive of us. I just hope we do them justice when we present our project in japan.
Ahhh finally..
