incompatible themes…

sad to note that there are some themes on wordpress that don’t show up right on firefox.. sad..

annoying vstudio

there’s a very annoying thing going on with visual studio 2005… every now and then it starts to act up.. i can’t type into my code editor but can’t delete / backspace. it’s annoying! i have to restart the ide to get it back to normal.

i was running out of disk space so i had to move some of my stuff to my 20gb ipod (no it’s not the video).  i didn’t realize i had so many pictures.. the move gave me an additional 3GB! i just hope it doesn’t crash…the original Shell had all my installers on it (yes pirated stuff) when it crashed while i was at Sagada.. when i tried to turn it on, all it showed me was a sad face X_X i didn’t even try to remember what else i had stored in her cause i knew i’d only feel bad.. of course it was still under warranty so i got her replaced… all my pics are now in her so i really hope she doesn’t crash before i get to burn these pictures on a dvd. just haven’t had time to go buy blanks yet.. gotta put that on my things to do.. hmmm..

Java Studio Creator. etc.

poor oyster is having a hard time picking up the pace… the “Starting modules…” splash screen stays on for about 2 minutes on my oyster.. then again, this is run side by side with an instance of visual studio and enterprise manager, should that make a difference? :p but once i got to the application, i was impressed with the ‘clean’ appearance.. i guess in this case, i’d look over the fact that it’s immensely slow.. just finished my projects though and the ones i’m working on, i’m doing in vs 2005 so i wont be able to try it out for now..

gotta clean up my hard drive though, running out of space.. i’ve got 8 gig of music which i also have on my ipod.. but i’m scared that my ipod might crash again that’s why i’m not erasing it from my drive for now.. i’ll probably go buy myself a some blank dvds so i can burn them all.. (nyehehe pirate…)

weird thing going on with our vs studios here at the lab.. there was one time earlier when we all could type in the source code editor but we couldn’t delete or even navigate through the page.. for some of us it was easily remedied by restarting the program, but for some, even restarting the pc didn’t stop the problem from recurring..weird..

just finished downloading the sun java studio creator..  wonderin whether this is gonna be as heavy as net beans.. never really liked netbeans.. still an edit loyalist when it comes to java.. hehe :p yes.. i’m on windows.. at least it’s not a pirated version! thanks to the MSDNAA with UP Diliman  hehe

i have to hand it to them, sun cellular, despite their not so wonderful service really knows how to gather the market! their latest product the sun iMessenger allows subscribers to login to ym, msn, icq and even aim and send unlimited messages for PhP 20 for a day and PhP100 for a week! Here’s there summary of commands, check the site out for more details.

whas goin on here..

okay so i had nothing much to do this afternoon so i decided to sort out this blog a bit.. divided my categories into subcategories so it’s not as messed up as it looks.. anyway, as i was doing so i made an annoying discovery.. so i was sorting my posts according to subcategories right, when i viewed my site, i didn’t see any of the categories on the links. turns out that if i didn’t explicitly check the parent category, the blog post isn’t filed under the parent, so if all my posts are under subcategories, it would seem that i don’t have any categories.. okay, pretty confusing to explain.. and my brain isn’t working just yet so i cant explain very well right now.. ;p let me try if it’s the same with other themes…

despite not being able to sleep the past 2 days because of it, the 145 MP was still a fun project to do. The past few months i’ve been immersed in Visual studio getting used to drag and drop gui design. programming in java is just way cooler.. i got reminded of how fun programming could be.. hunting for bugs and figuring out how you can get things to work.. okay, i guess things could also be difficult with viual studio sometimes but i dunno… i guess its true that you don’t ever forget your first love.. i mean, if i were to be a programmer for life and was made to choose my language, i would definitely chose java over visual anything anyday.. though i really do wish they invent a device for thought to text soon.. that would mean a drastic reduce in physical injuries for programmers.. no more eyestrain and no more carpal tunnel syndrome.. thought to text..that was what was running through my mind the whole tiem i was programming today.. my forearms are starting to hurt so much..

i really do wish i’d start ‘not cramming’ soon.. as usual, i had a buzzer beater submission for the project i was working on.. i know i can accomplish far more greater things if only i start on the things i need to do earlier. more mps! i need to practice on my anti cramming campaign! and here i am blogging instead of working on our thesis.. hehe i have quite a deal to finish for thesis but my arms are hurting right now i cant program when there’s something else ailing me.. it’s painful enough just using the brain..:p hmm.. things to do today… i got a mock interview later this afternoon at 4 to 5.. have to prepare my resume and my application form..it’s thursday.. i know i’m forgetting something.. i hope it comes back to me later this morning… my brain cells are dying!! *sigh* earlier this evening, i mean, last night i really felt myself experiencing slow and painful brain death.. i’m also suffering from a bad cough right now. i sound like i got something up my nose. .pimples are all over my face again.. well actually all over my chin.. for some reason they don’t grow anywhere else but there.. i just nticed that i’m babbling.. my mind is wandering about.. i’m glad i can touch type.. allows me to type away while my eyes are somewhere else. it’s a lot more fun to blog when you’re not looking at the screen.. less stressful and it just feels like your thinking aloud while looking at the things that are happening around you. the people seated at the table beside me are looking at me strangely though.. they must be thinking i’m just punching aimlessly my keyboard heheh they must think i’ve gone mad.. oh well.. not my problem..

it’s 3.44 am.. there are still quite a number of people here at mcdonald’s.. good thing they decided to stay open 24 hours or else my ass would be home asleep right now..(yes just my ass) i was at seattle’s the whole day till about 2.30 earlier.. i’ve been there every day the past week..it’s an expensive lifestyle i know but i get to surf and charge my laptop too! and because of UP Cursor i also have a 10% discount on the stuff that i purchase from them.. now is that nice or is that nice? i swear, if seattles went 24 hours, i would make it my home and spend my rent money on coffee and food hehe kidding i’d have to find a place to take my baths too :p coffee + internet = aimee’s.

let’s see, i have one at friendster, one at blogger and one at yahoo 360.. i also have one at microsoft’s thespoke.net. it’s getting more and more difficult to blog i can’t seem to know where to put what.. i’m still deciding on whether to just sync all my blogs to make life easier for me.. i don’t like copy-pasting though, and only blogger allows the user to post via email. i keep my friendster blog because of it’s visibility. my friends can opt to get notified when i make a new post. i keep my yahoo 360 cause it’s so easy to make a post from yahoo messenger. as for blogger, i keep it cause i find it convenient sometimes to blog on outlook for sending later on when i have an internet connection available. though i wish there were some way to set the time stamp for the post through email as well.. i was thinking tags or something like that.. though that would make posting for some a bit more complicated. it’s cool enough that you get to attach photos. as for word press, i like how easy it is to sort your posts into categories. now if only there’d be a provider that’d combine all that, i’d drop everything and move there. :p nah.. asa pa.

rise and shine..

supposed to go jogging today.. joee and i had a hard time dragging our asses out of bed. olan got here 7 sharp, the time we intended to start jogging. what do you expect! it’s still 2 days after the new year! some people don’t even have classes yet! :p but we’re leaving in a while.. going to go jog at up, get back here for some breakfast, then joee and i are off to seattle’s to seep their electiricity. i’m SO envious of joee’s new iBook. *sigh* oh well, oyster has been a loyal lappy to me so far so i don’t think i’m throwing her away just yet :p kidding!! i’d never throw away my first baby! even if she doesn’t look as fabulous as she did before.. she’s helped me through a lot this year, looking forward to another year with my baby.
